You’re not the only one! I still have days of feeling off my rhythm.
It is extremely important to create a healthy lifestyle balance between what you love to do and what you have to do. By not harmonizing yourself in valued areas of your life, your personal and professional life will suffer the consequences.
How can you create your balanced rhythm? Well, there are many ways you can adjust your life to find your rhythm. I like to call this finding your balanced rhythm, a place where you prioritize both your work and your well-being.  xoNeCole also shares 5 smart ways to upgrade work work-life balance.
Everyone’s balanced rhythm is unique, so it should be specifically tailored to you and your needs. Down below, I have listed 3 solutions I find work exceptionally well in helping me create my balanced rhythm. I hope they will help you find the lifestyle balance that you need so that you don’t sacrifice your:
  • Relationships
  • Health
  • Mental Sanity

“The work is not skippable”™ and you are worth the work!

  • #1 Designate “Me” Time!

There might be a million things going in your life, but the most important one must be your own mental health. You can’t find success without taking care of your own needs first. If you aren’t happy in your personal life, this can and will affect your professional one! It is crucial you make time for you. Whether that is meditating, reading a book, taking a bath, or exercising, I want you to weave them into your daily tasks. This can change your entire outlook while reducing your stress levels. You’ll feel refreshed, revived, and it will help refocus your goals. A side effect just might be you that you fall in love or rediscover what your purpose is, especially if you lost track of your why.

  • #2 Schedule Your Day

I find scheduling in what I have to do and what I should be doing, is a great way to keep myself balanced and on-track. If I don’t make a schedule including my personal priorities, then I will fully immense myself in my work (because I’m a ‘doer’), neglecting what I need to be doing. Set some alarms on your phone! Remind yourself to step away and to take a break. Designate time during your day to focus on you and your loved ones. When your work is done, sign off completely. Don’t allow yourself to stress over anything within your business/career past the ‘clock out’ time. Set designated work hours and stick to them. Set that boundary maven! This will prevent your work from bleeding into your personal life and help you enjoy your time away from the office to help prevent burnout. If possible, try to unplug from technology by a certain time each day! My calendar has become my secret weapon when looking to balance my own time with my professional time! If you saw my calendar you might say WTH Maven!  But it’s a well-oiled tool at this point!

  • #3 Take On Less

You are not superwoman (hell her azz isn’t even REAL – SIGH), and no one expects you to be! You are human; you are smart, and you are strong. However, you can’t actually work all 24 hours within the day. Don’t overexert yourself and don’t accept more ‘STUFF’ than you can physically and mentally handle. You have the power to set your boundaries! Make sure what you accept fits into your designated hours of your workday. Learn to say no! No gracias — if you need it in another language! Overwhelm happens when you take on more than you can manage. Allow your brain to recharge, it requires downtime too!

Finding yourself out of balance, where you’re sacrificing your relationships, health, and mental sanity for your business/career, is simply unattainable and unsustainable. I believe you can still become successful at your business or pursuing your dream career, without neglecting your personal life. I actually think it’s necessary!

You will become stronger and more passionate than you were before. I can guarantee you will fall in love with what you do! You won’t feel overworked, overwhelmed, neglected, or that you’re missing out on life.

Sit with yourself maven. Come to know what brings you happiness, which includes people, activities, and the things that help you shine!

5 Strategies to Spring Into Execution!

5 Strategies to Spring Into Execution!

I live in Houston so most times we don’t have a “real” winter but nonetheless, I’m always happy to usher in springtime.  I definitely enjoy warmer weather over colder.
Spring is bright and colorful and exciting. It’s new! Yeah, that’s it, we like new!
As we transition from one season to the next, if we are not intentional we can carry the dullness and sense of hibernation right over into spring.
It’s spring so that means it’s time to freshen things up.  Don’t just do spring cleaning in your home and business, do it for YOU also.  Shape Magazine shares 10 healthy reasons to love spring that will also help to energize you.

In this video, I’ve shared 5 Strategies To Help You Spring Into Execution!

In this video, I share my strategies to BAM (Bust a Move) and Spring into Execution this spring!

1.  Drop the winter weight.

•  I’m so not talking about body pounds! This weight is just as important that we intentionally keep it lean also.

2.  Do a little one, two step.

•  Yep! Now I’m talking about your body, your temple. You only have one.

3.  Freshen & Focus.

•  Give a winterized idea a spring touch and watch it blossom.

4.  Define your goal with an outcome and deadline.

•  Give clarity to your outcomes and reduce your feelings of being overwhelmed.

5.  Connect with an accountability partner.

•  This is such a powerful asset in your growth! Don’t skip this part.

These 5 strategies help you take action in your Spring readiness.  Action, that’s what we call BAM (Bust A Move) here at Maven Nation.  Make sure to watch the video for more ideas and tips.
