Dr. Kirleen Neely has worked in the mental health field for over twenty-five years and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Neely Behavioral Health. The company provides counseling services, wellness training, and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) to companies throughout the United States. Dr. Neely oversees all clinical services for the organization. In 2022 Dr. Neely’s passion for making a difference earned her the covenanted Business Women of the year award given by NAWBO-SA. Her clinical expertise includes anxiety disorders, depression, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, trauma, and adolescent issues. Dr. Neely was honored to co-author her second book, titled “Mental Health 101,” to address the mental health challenges adolescents face during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a sought-after public speaker, Dr. Neely has appeared on numerous local and national television and radio shows and made keynote appearances. Some of her recent appearances include CNN’s legal analyst show, The Special Report, and Sirius XM’s Women in Trucking Show. Dr. Neely believes in giving back to the community. She currently hosts a popular bi-weekly mental health podcast titled “Drop the BS” and serves on the boards of Reset Schools. She is licensed by the Texas State Board of Professional Counselors and obtained her doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from St. Mary’s University. Dr. Neely is supported by her husband and two beautiful teen daughters.

Creating balance or work-life harmony is always a work in motion. Life is in motion. We are in motion. A healthy and fulfilled life includes a spiritual well-being that supports your balance. It entails understanding our values, beliefs, and life purpose, as well as connecting with something bigger than ourselves. It is a sense of harmony with oneself and the world around us. Here are some strategies for achieving spiritual well-being and balance in our lives.

1. Meditation and Mindfulness: Meditation and mindfulness can help us achieve spiritual well-being and balance. They help us to calm our minds, focus our thoughts, and connect with our inner selves. Regular meditation and mindfulness practice can lead to improved mental clarity, emotional stability, and reduced stress levels.

2. Gratitude: Practicing gratitude is an essential part of achieving spiritual well-being and balance. It is the act of recognizing and appreciating the good things in our lives. It helps us to focus on the positive aspects of life and cultivate a sense of contentment and satisfaction.

3. Connecting with Nature: Nature has a powerful impact on our spiritual well-being.
